The first applications from the cities of Germany and Russia were submitted for participation in the “Young Hansa” 2019

4 applications from the cities of Veliky Ustyug, Lippstadt, Brilon and Osnabruck
(Germany) have already been submitted for participation in the “Young Hansa”,
which will be held in Pskov within the framework of the XXXIX International
Hanseatic Days of New Time.
According to the information from Pskov Youth Center, representatives of young
people from Hanseatic cities aged from 15 to 26 who are officially applying for
participation are allowed to participate. In order to formalize your participation in
the Young Hansa, you must contact the Hanseatic Directorate for the Holidays by
email at, and request a login and password to register on
the Pskov Hansa website (active link to the site). You can also contact the
administration of your city with a request to include Young Hansa in the delegates.
During the four-day program “Young Hanza” it is planned to hold educational
events, get acquainted with the city, an opportunity to exchange experience in the
various fields of activity. It is also planned to conduct master classes in cooking,
possession of medieval weapons, making souvenirs and kites, which will be
launched near the monument to Alexander Nevsky.
The participants of the Young Hansa will take part in the planting of the Alley of Friendship, then they will be
organized an excursion to Pechory, Izborsk. Guests of Pskov will be accompanied
by a group of volunteers trained on the basis of the Pskov city Youth Center.
