Photography exhibition “Hansa: traditions and the present” was opened in the new art gallery
A photography exhibition “Hansa: traditions and the present” was opened in the new art gallery “Art Hall Prostoria” on the 6th of January. There were a few score of art works, which were created in terms of the Russian-German photo project “Traditions and the present” headed by Dusseldorf photographer – a member of promotion of twinings Pskov-Neuss society - Melany Shtegemann and Pskov make-up artist Victoria Marchuk presented there.
The artists wanted to reflect their perception of Russian and German cultures in their works. Melany Shtegemann acts as a model and applies different images of Russian and German women. Exhibition sponsors are artistic group “Photo Delo”, photo studio “Lis” and design studio “Russian modern costume” with the assistance of the Culture department of the Pskov Administration. The photos were made by Olga Balobeiko, Aleksey Archipov and Igor Soloviev.
Valery Tiumentsev – the Deputy of Pskov State Duma in his welcoming speech congratulated organizers with the opening of the exhibition and stressed the significance of the “Hansa” theme due to Pskov preparations to the International Hanseatic days of the new time in Pskov in 2019.
Klaus Richter-the director of Neuss art gallery “Alte Post” took part in the exhibition as well. He supports Russian-German creativities projects and therefore there will be Andrey Koksharov’s personal exhibition in his gallery in February 2018.
The participants of the exhibition saw the presentation of two collections of the design studio “Russian modern costume” called ”Rossinushka” and “Tana Marcha”.
